Spiders weave webs to catch their prey. Just like the prey that gets trapped in a spiders web, we also get stuck in the webs we weave, which consists of the myriad of outdated beliefs, doubts, fears and assumptions we accumulate over the years (and lifetimes).
That web is more than just a metaphor, it symbolises the neural pathways we create in our brain.
Neural pathways are the pathway along which information travels through the neurons (nerve cells) of the brain. A lot of the programming of our body is “hard-wired” into us already, but we also create new neural pathways every time we experience something new and different.
Are the things you have hard-wired yourself into helping or hindering your growth?
